FARMINGTON — Local law enforcement agencies are chasing a vehicle that is believed to have been involved in a Farmington bank robbery on Friday afternoon.

Police responded to a bank robbery shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday.

The robbery report was at Wells Fargo Bank at 4601 E. Main St. near Animas Valley Mall, Frank Fisher, a spokesman for the FBI, said.

Details of the robbery are not currently available.

Farmington police Sgt. Baric Crum said it did not appear anyone was hurt during the incident at the bank.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and headed north on Highway 516.

New Mexico and Colorado police agencies are involved in the pursuit, as is the San Juan County Sheriff's Office helicopter.

At about 4:45 p.m. the suspects were near Ignacio, Colo., sheriff's office Lt. Shane Utley said.
