On Feb. 4, 2009, Ralph L Eagler entered Citizens Bank of Farmington and handed the teller a note that demanded money and claimed he had a gun.
The teller gave him the money and witnesses reportedly saw him leaving the scene in a gold SUV. Farmington police stopped his vehicle based on the witnesses description and arrested him, Gonzales said.
Eagler has been in federal custody since his arrest. His trial was delayed because of competency hearings, Gonzales said.
Eagler will get credit for timed serve. When he is released from prison he will be on supervised release for three years.
