Riverfest: The annual event takes place May 23 through 25 at River Reach Terrace, located at the corner of Scott Avenue and San Juan Boulevard and at Animas Park, off of Browning Parkway. Riverfest is a festival of music, food and entertainment put on by the River Reach Foundation to celebrate the local rivers. There is a 10K and 5K run and walk. Aztec Highland Games and Celtic Music Festival: Every year, Aztec celebrates the culture of the Scottish Highlands with live Celtic music and athletic competitions such as the caber toss, hammer throw and braemar stone.
