FARMINGTON — Three high schools across San Juan County hosted their graduation ceremonies Friday.

Charlie Y. Brown High School, Bloomfield's alternative high school, held its commencement ceremony Friday morning for its nine graduates in the Bloomfield High School auditorium.

According to an advance copy of the program, senior Chelsea Myers spoke during the program. The senior class valedictorian was Shandra Martinez.

Career Prep High School, the alternative high school for the Central Consolidated School District, had its commencement ceremony Friday night at the Phil L. Thomas Performing Arts Center in Shiprock. Fourteen seniors graduated.

Valedictorian Harley Hoskie and Salutatorian Crystal Etcitty spoke during the ceremony, along with fellow graduates Jessica Johnson, Chad Jones, class President Mariah Paul and Jimmy Padilla.

The Bloomfield High School graduation ceremony was Friday night in Bobcat Stadium. During the ceremony, 158 seniors graduated, according to an early version of the program.

Six students were scheduled to speak during the program, including Valedictorian ShaShonda LaMere and Salutatorian Dacia Werito.
